Appalachian State University Police Department investigating an alleged rape on campus

The Appalachian State University Police Department is investigating an alleged incident of a sexual assault, specifically rape, that was reported to have occured in Boone on May 7, 2025, in Frank Residence Hall. The sexual assault was reported to the App State Police on May 7, 2025.

The suspect is unknown, and no suspect description is available at this time.
