Fundraiser: Shulls Mills Church will be having a BBQ Chicken dinner this Friday & Saturday, September 6th & 7th. starting at 5pm on both days. The menu will consist of the following: 1/2 BBQ chicken, bake beans, cole slaw, a roll and a drink. Cost will be $8.00 per plate. Eat in or take out available, you may call in advance for take out orders to (828) 963-7406 or (828) 406-0679. In addition there will be a silent auction with plenty of really nice items to bid on. The auction will begin on Friday evening and closing on Sat. afternoon. All items will be awarded/given out after the closing of the auction on Sat. at 4pm.
Benefit Singing: "Singing" for Ivan & Jesse Dishman and Family - a love offering for the family as they go to Papua New Guinea as missionaries. The show will be held on Saturday, September 14th from 12 noon until 6 pm. at Alliance Bible Fellowship out on 105 By-Pass in Boone. Yard Sale: A HUGE two family yard sale on Friday & Saturday, September 6th & 7th starting at 7am on both days. Everything must go - surround sound system, car stereos, clothing items, books and a lot of other items.... They are located on Aldridge Road - take Hwy 105 above Carolton Galleries and follow the signs.
Fall Bazaar: Boone Methodist 29th Annual Bazaar Friday, September 20th. from 7:30am til 6pm and Saturday, September 21st. from 7:30am til 11:00am at the Boone Methodist Church at 471 New Market Blvd. in Boone. Yard Sale, Furniture, clothing, linens, bakes goods, home cooking and much more.... On Friday, there will be a silent auction until 6pm. Proceeds to benefit the Church building fund and missions.
Estate Garage Sale: Lifetime of goods and collectibles: Saturday, September 21st from 8am until 2pm. On Eastbrook Drive, take King Street by Earth Fare and follow the signs. Hundreds of items, loads of vintage from 20's to the 80's. Dolls, toys, Avon items, Christmas, goods for the sportsman, hardware, household, linens, old typewriters and magazines. Early birds will pay double.....
