The Watauga County Middle School athletic department has announced that games missed Thursday, January 17, due to inclement weather, will now be played on Wednesday January 23rd. The Middle School Tournament will begin with the first round games to be played on Thursday Jan. 24th and Friday Jan. 25th at the higher seeded team's school.

Watauga High Athletic Director Dustin Kerley has announced that indoor track will not be traveling to the JDL FastTrack in Winston-Salem tonight for their track meet. All athletic practices, or other after school extracurricular activities have also been cancelled for today due to a winter weather advisory, released by the National Weather Service in Blacksburg, Va., that goes in effect until 10 a.m., Friday morning.

App State Men’s Golf Signs Two for 2019-20

BOONE, N.C. – Head coach Bo Redman of the Appalachian State men's golf team on Thursday announced the signing of two prep golfers for the 2019-20 season in Addison Beam and Nick Sawyer.

Bobcats grind out critical home win over King (Tenn.), 74-70

BANNER ELK, N.C. – Trailing by as many as 14 points in the second half, the Lees-McRae College men's basketball team mounted a rally and picked up a 74-70 victory over rival King University Wednesday night at Williams Gymnasium. The victory improves Lees-McRae's record to 6-13 overall and 3-7 in Conference Carolinas action.
