Watauga High Athletics and the Hunger and Health Coalition has partnered up to do a canned food drive at the Varsity Football game this Friday 9/13/19 vs Wilkes Central. Anyone who brings 3 cans of food or more will be entered into a raffle to win TWO FREE WHS ATHLETIC SINGLE GAME PASSES to be used anytime during the 2019-2020 athletic sports seasons. Raffle will be drawn at halftime. Please help encourage people to support this cause to help fight hunger in the High Country.

The Atlantic Coast Conference has announced that the Appalachian State-North Carolina game on Saturday, September 21, in Chapel Hill will kick-off at 3:30 p.m. The game can be heard on WATA 1450 AM/96.5 FM, beginning at 1:30 p.m. The Carolina broadcast can be heard on WWMY 102.3 FM, beginning at 2:30 p.m.

The Watauga High volleyball team won its 23 straight at home, and its 46th straight win in the Northwestern Conference Monday night at Lentz-Eggers Gym by sweeping Freedom, the WHS girl's tennis team won its third straight by knocking off Avery, Rebekah Farthing is honored by MaxPreps.com.
