Cougars Tie State Record

TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. - The beat goes on, and on, and on for the Alexander Central High softball team. The Cougars defeated South Iredell 12-0 Friday night for their 83rd straight win, which ties them for the longest winning streak in NCHSAA history. The game was called in the top of the fifth because of the 10-run mercy rule.

Offense Claims Victory in A-State Spring Game

JONESBORO, Ark. – The Arkansas State football team held its annual spring game Friday night at Centennial Bank Stadium, and “Coach Experience” winner Angie Gallaher led the Red Wolves’ offense to a 55-47 victory over the defense using a special scoring system put in place by the coaching staff.
