The Watauga High football team rallied from seven points down to beat Alexander Central Friday night. The win gives WHS (5-2, 2-0 Northwestern Conference) the top seed among the 4A schools in the conference. It also preserved WHS' 20 game NWC home winning streak (they haven't lost a conference game at home since 2015), and its 23-game NWC winning streak overall (they haven't lost a conference game, home or away, since 2017).
