Bumgarner continues to look strong PDF Print

Madison Bumgarner, who played his high school baseball at South Caldwell and is now a member of the San Francisco Giants organization, continues to play well for the San Jose Giants, the advanced-Class A affiliate of the Giants in the California League.


Bumgarner is 3-0 with a 0.56 earned-run-average this season. He’s only given up one earned run in 16 innings of work to with 14 strike outs.

He defeated Lake Elsinore 8-1 Wednesday night. Bumgarner went five innings, gave up his first earned run of the year, struck out five with no walks.

And former Pioneer Johnny Greene continues to play well for the Bakersfield Blaze of the advanced-Class A affiliate of the Texas Rangers in the California League.
Greene is hitting 271 with two home runs and seven runs-batted-in. He has 13 hits, two of which are doubles.
