Matt McClinfock of Zap Endurance of Blowing Rock, N.C.,  finished sixth at Saturday morning’s Peachtree 10-kilometer Road Race in Atlanta, Ga/, which served as this year’s U.S. Championship 10k road race.

McClintock’s time was 29-minutes, and two seconds (he averaged 4:39 per mile). The race was won by Samuel Chelanga of the U.S. Army team in 28:46. McClintock outsprinted Jake Reilly (29:05) and Galen Rupp (29:06) who are both running next month’s Olympic Marathon in Tokyo, Japan.
