CHAPEL HILL - WFMY - TV is reporting that the University of North Carolina's athletic department has announced that Saturday's football’s game against UNC Charlotte has been canceled after a 49ers' player has tested positive for coronavirus. The positive test required “several” members of the team’s offensive line to quarantine, so they will not be able to play this weekend.

Other teams have already experienced this issue with NC State’s first game getting pushed back and Virginia vs Virginia Tech not happening this weekend because of issues with the virus in Blacksburg.

UNC has a scheduled bye week next week, so it’s unclear how the team proceeds from here.
