These members of the Watauga High track team have tentatively qualified to compete in the 3A West Regional meet on Saturday at WHS' Jack Groce Stadium. It is tentative because coaches have until Monday to put late entries in the meet. If one of WHS' athletes is one of the last four in their event, they could get pushed out of the event. If coaches scratch a runner from an event, then another runner can be moved up.

CRAWDADS RAINED OUT.....

CHARLESTON, WV (May 5, 2018) - Due to inclement weather in the Charleston area, tonight's West Virginia Power game against the Hickory Crawdads has been postponed. The two teams will play two seven-inning games on Sunday, May 6, beginning at 2:05 p.m. Gates will open at 1 p.m.

Both starters for Sunday's twin bill have yet to be determined. Saturday's golden baseball giveaway and Sunday's Harry Potter Day festivities have been postponed to later dates as well. Sunday's Kidz Sunday Funday festivities will still take place, including pregame catch in the outfield, kids run the bases, presented by SMART529 College Savings Program, and player autographs.

First pitch from Appalachian Power Park is slated for 2:05 p.m. on Sunday.
