The Hickory Crawdads and Savannah were rained out Friday night. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, with the first 7-inning game scheduled for 5:05 p.m.
Despite the rain out, the Crawdads gained ground on Hagerstown. The Suns lost to Charleston 4-2 Friday nigh. Hickory begins the day in a two-way tie for second place with Greensboro, and just 1 1/2 games behind the Suns for first place in the Northern Division in the South Atlantic League season.
The Crawdads remain on the road through Wednesday. The 'Dads wrap up their series in Savannah on Sunday before beginning a three-game series in Kannapolis on Monday.
The 'Dads will return home for a four-game home stand against the Greensboro Grasshoppers on Thursday, with Thirsty Thursday, Fireworks Friday, and the ZOOperstars among the promotions at L.P. Frans Stadium.
