Beatty Steps Down At TCR PDF Print

Jim Beatty has resigned as head football coach at T.C. Roberson High School. Beatty, who led the Rams for seven years, stepped down on Tuesday.




He has accepted a position as offensive line coach at Mars Hill University, a Division II school in Mars Hill, N.C., and a member of the South Atlantic Conference.


Beatty, who was an assistant coach with the Rams before he became head coach in 2006 replacing Mike Houston, was 54-42 during his tenure. The Rams were a 4-8 last fall and lost to North Davidson 77-40 in the first round of the Class 4A state playoffs.
