The Watauga High girl's and boy's indoor track teams competed in the NCRunners Elite Holiday Invitational at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C., Saturday.




The Pioneers produced five top 20 finishers---three for the boys and two for the girls.


Jacob Soule and Alison Seramur had the best showings of the day for the Pioneers. Seramur finished fourth in the girl's pole vault with a season-best effort of ten-feet, six-inches; Soule finished fourth in the boy's 3,200-meter run. He crossed the finish line in ten-minutes, 12.25 seconds.


Lily Weeks finished 16th in the girl's 1,000 (3:24,643). Zach Styron turned in a 19th-place finish in the boy's long jump (18-feet, 7.50 inches); he finished 18th in the boy's 55-meter hurdles in 8.56 seconds.


The Pioneers will host a meet at the JDL Fast Track on Friday, January 10 at 5 p.m.
