Another coaching change for the West Caldwell High football team. Friday, the school announced that Kyle Dunn will not return as head football coach next fall.
In a press release late Friday afternoon, school officials said they will immediately begin a search for a replacement for Dunn, who was head coach for two seasons.
West Caldwell went 1-20 under Dunn the last two years. He was suspended for one game this season after being ejected from a game against Maiden the week before, and assistant coach Michael Fredrick coached that next game.
Dunn was named head coach just before the 2012 season. He replaced Randy Baldwin, who's final team went 0-11 and 0-7 in conference play. That winless season starting a losing streak that stretched to 26 games before West Caldwell snapped it by beating Enka on the road on Sept. 13.
The Warriors have lost 22 straight conference games and are 3-41 in league games over the last six seasons. They haven't had a winning season since 2002, when they posted a 10-3 record. Their most productive season since was a 4-7 finish in 2010, Baldwin's first year as head coach.
Dunn was West Caldwell's fifth head coach since 2003.
