Jones Earns All-State Honors PDF Print

Lenoir-Rhyne University's Ben Jones has been named to the 2013 NCCSIA College Division All-State Men's Soccer First Team. NCCSIA is the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association.

 

Jones, a junior midfielder from Dagenham, England, led the Bears in goals scored (10) and total points (21) this season as Lenoir-Rhyne finished with a 9-8-1 record.

 

Jones was also named to the 2013 All-South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Second Team and was first on the team in total shots (97) and shots on goal (48) this fall. Jones tallied two match-winning goals as well on the season.

 

Founded in 2002, The North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) is comprised of sports information professionals from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and independent institutions from the state of North Carolina.

 

The purpose of the organization is to promote collegiate athletics at all schools. Membership is open to anyone affiliated with a college, university or conference located in North Carolina, and whose area of responsibility lies within sports information.

 

NCCSSIA selects all-state teams in the University (Division I) and College (Division II, III, NAIA) divisions for men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, volleyball, softball and baseball.
