Norval Denny “Bob” Duncan, age 91, of Moravian Falls, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Duncan was born March 7, 1929 in Wilkes County to Millard Denny and Lillie Mathis Duncan. He was a US Army Veteran during the Korean War, a member of Cub Creek Baptist Church and retired from Centel Telephone Company with 40 plus years of service as a lineman and repairman. Mr. Duncan was a very kind and loving man. He enjoyed gardening and being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bob also enjoyed watching the Braves play baseball, talking with his friends, building, painting and repairing towers. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bertha Fern Fletcher Duncan; daughter, Sharon Kay Duncan; and brother, L.B. Duncan.

He is survived by his daughters, Karen Walker and spouse Curtis of Moravian Falls, Barbara Lee and spouse Tom of Salisbury, Maryland; his son, Robert Duncan and spouse Lisa of Wilkesboro; grandchildren, Clay Walker and spouse Jacquelyn, Kelley Griffin and spouse Nathaniel all of Moravian Falls, Kyler Duncan and Ashley Duncan both of Wilkesboro; great grandchildren, Carrigan Walker, McKinley Walker and Gabe Griffin all of Moravian Falls.

Funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Cub Creek Baptist Church with Mr. Fred Eldreth officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Cub Creek Baptist Church from 11:00 until 12:00 on Saturday, prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mtn.
