Bruce Trivett, age 58, of Gouges Creek Road in Spruce Pine died Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals in Asheville.

Born on June 9, 1962 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Reuben Trivett and Bertha Wilson Trivett who still survives.

Bruce was employed by the North Carolina Department of Corrections and he was a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church. He loved his daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters and spending time with them, they were his life. He was known as a very hard working person and had the biggest heart in the world. In his spare time, he enjoyed guns, old cars and had played adult league softball.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughter; Heather Ziemba and husband, Eric of Spruce Pine; his granddaughters; Emma and Kaylee Ziemba; his mother; Bertha W. Trivett of Spruce Pine; his sisters; Elizabeth McKinney of Spruce Pine; Betty McBee and husband, Larry of Spruce Pine; and Pat Byrd and husband, Bradley of Bakersville; his brother; Bryan Trivett of Spruce Pine; Janet Trivett of Newland; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A time to support the family, share memories, and receive friends will be on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 2:30 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Gouges Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
