Jim Wyatt, age 86 of Sparta, NC passed away Friday, April 5, 2019 at his residence.

He was born November 19, 1932 in Ashe County to the late Houston McKinley and Maude Elizabeth Richardson Wyatt. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtle Harden Wyatt; his second wife, Patsy Miles Wyatt; one daughter, Juanita Perry; five brothers, Thomas Wyatt, Bill Wyatt, Joe Wyatt, Roscoe Wyatt and David Wyatt; two sisters, Anna Mae Taylor and Cleo Howell.

Jim was a member of Pine Fork Baptist Church and was a former deacon. He was a man of faith and he loved his Bible. He was a hard worker and loved to fix things. His favorite thing was clocks. He worked 38 years at Dr. Grabow Pipe Factory.

Jim was a family man and loved to visit people. He is survived one son, Dale Wyatt and wife Diane of Sparta; one daughter, Annita Wyatt-Newman and Dale Andrews of Jonesville; eight grandchildren, Justine Lewis and husband Chris of Winston-Salem, John Perry of Taylorsville, Jim Perry and wife Alexandra of Kings Mountain, Meka Price and husband Tanner of Mt. Airy, Talea Newman and Josh of Yadkinville, Phillip Newman and wife Kelly of Mt. Airy, Emily McLean and husband Silas of Independence, VA, Tuesday McLean and Carlos of Sparta; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Wyatt and wife Linda of Sparta, Rex Wyatt of Laurel Springs; special nieces, Michelle Steelman Shepherd of Sparta, Kimberlie Spurlin Miller and husband Kerry of Sparta.

There will be no formal services.
