Pat Eggers, age 65, of Banner Elk, passed away Monday evening, February 19, 2018, at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Pat is survived by one daughter, Holly Calloway and husband Andy of Morganton, North Carolina; one son, Chad Eggers and wife Brittany of Avery County; three granddaughters, Sidney Eggers, Addison Eggers, and Maggie Calloway; four grandsons, Noah Eggers, Hudson Eggers, Andy Calloway, and Jimmy Calloway; three brothers, Mike Eggers and wife Linda of Banner Elk, Raymond Eggers and wife Barbara of Banner Elk, and Sam Eggers and wife Jan of Leesburg, Florida; his girlfriend, Barbara Church of Banner Elk, and two sisters-in-law, Jane Eggers of Banner Elk and Brownie Eggers of Valparaiso, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ray L. "Bub" Eggers and Ruth Bowles Eggers, and three brothers, Eddie, Homer, and Ford "Tinker" Eggers.

Funeral services for Pat Eggers will be conducted Friday afternoon, February 23, 2018, at 2:00 o'clock, at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. The body will lie in state, at the chapel, from 12:00 until 2:00 o'clock, at the funeral home, prior to the service. Officiating will be Pastor Rick Mercer. Burial will follow in Matney-Liberty Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday afternoon, from 12:00 until 2:00 o'clock, at the funeral home, prior to the service.
