AppHealthCare's latest COVID-19 update shows Watauga, Ashe and Alleghany counties continue to see high levels of community transmission.

In Watauga, the number of new cases is 52, down from the previous report. The county's test results shows a higher positivity rate of 5.34%. Watauga is now at 58% partially or fully vaccinated.

Ashe has seen a decrease in new cases and in positivity rate. There were 27 new cases in this report, and a 7.18% positivity rate. Ashe remains at 54% partially or fully vaccinated.

In North Carolina, the rate of new cases per 100,000 is down 20% from the last update, the rate of new deaths is down 32%.
