The Watauga County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man on sex charges.

The Watauga Democrat reports Joshua Robert George Glardon, age 39, of 3104 Hunting Lodge Road, Fayetteville, was arrested September 10 in Boone on charges out of Cumberland County.

Glardon is charged with 15 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and one first-degree statutory sexual offense.

According to the report, Glardon has spent more than 19 years in the U.S. Army and was an instructor with App State's ROTC program beginning in April. App State media relations specialist Anna Oakes said Glardon was assigned to the university, but not a university employee.
