An 18-year-old from Manitoba, Canada has been arrested for making the threatening phone call that caused a lock down at Watauga High School last month.

Watauga Online reports Royal Canadian Mounted Police made the arrest August 30 after a search warrant was executed on the suspect's residence on the Fisher River Cree Nation.

This individual is also connected to a similar threatening call, or so called 'swatting call' to a school in Hawkins County Tennessee on August 10. The Watauga High School 911 call was made August 18 to the Boone Police Department.

Both 911 calls were from a male advising he was inside a school with a firearm and was going to start shooting.

In both cases, the schools were placed on lock down and a large number of police officers, including SWAT officers, responded.
