Appalachian State Chancellor Sheri Everts said in her weekly update, that the university administered 1,970 vaccines to students, faculty, staff and community members.

App's next clinic is scheduled for Thursday, April 8.

Last week, 919 COVID-19 tests were conducted with only 8 positive results, a positivity rate of only .87 percent.

AppHealthCare did not release a situation report this week, due to the Easter Holiday.

According to the AppHealthCare COVID-19 dashboard, there are currently 61 active cases in Watauga, 19 in Ashe and 9 in Alleghany.

There are 53 individuals being monitored in Watauga, 47 in Ashe and 29 in Alleghany.

The total positive cases since testing began indicate 4489 in Watauga, 2113 in Ashe, and 961 in Alleghany.
