Appalachian State University Chancellor Dr. Sheri Everts said Tuesday that App State will receive its first shipment of 500 vaccines early next week, and will hold its first vaccine clinic next Thursday, March 11.

will continue holding clinics and following the state’s prioritization plan to ensure everyone has access to receiving a vaccine.

In her statement, Everts said the university will follow the State guidelines for Group 3.

Frontline workers who share workspaces that make physical distancing challenging (such as food preparation, residence halls staffing, etc.) will be the first to be offered the vaccine.

Faculty who are teaching in person will follow this group.

Workers will receive an email from the university when it is time to schedule an appointment.

App State will continue to provide the university community with updates as more information becomes available.
