The Watauga County Public Library has received a mini-grant from Google to promote resources available through Grow with Google, as well as resources in the community and the library that can help the job seeker with resume and cover letter creation and interviewing skills.

The library will be partnering with NCWorks and Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina to provide helpful information.

Videos will be posted weekly on the library’s Facebook page that will highlight Grow with Google tools for the job search, partners, and library titles and online resources. Videos will be posted on Wednesday mornings.

On Thursday, March 18 at 4:00 pm, the library and its partners will host a virtual Zoom meeting on resume creation and interviewing skills.

The mini-grant funds will be used for job search related books for the library’s collection, resume paper, envelopes and thumb drives free for the community, free printing for job related documents, and copies of the classic “What Color Is Your Parachute?’ by Richard Nelson Bolles for virtual program participants.
