Almost 6000 ballots have been cast in Watauga County over the first three days of early one-stop voting.

Mathew Snyder, director of the Watauga Board of Elections, reports the largest number of votes were cast at App State's Plemmons Student Union, followed closely by the Watauga Administration Building.

Across the state, more than 1 million voters have cast ballots during the first days of early voting.

With more than two weeks until Election Day, more than 14 percent of registered voters have already cast ballots.

Early voting in NC continues through October 31.
