AppHealthCare, Appalachian State, and Toe River Health District released the latest COVID-19 case totals Wednesday.

AppHealthCare reported Wednesday 207 active COVID-19 cases in Watauga, a total 1609, with 339 actively monitored.

Ashe had 44 active cases, a total of 390, with 83 being monitored.

Alleghany had 8 active cases, a total of 253, and 40 being monitored.

AppHealthCare reports 15 deaths in Watauga, 6 in Ashe and 1 in Alleghany.

Appalachian State reported Wednesday 122 students with active cases, and 2 employees. There have been a total of 928 cases among students, 39 employees, and 41 subcontractors.

Toe River Health District released its weekly report Wednesday. It showed Avery County with 30 active COVID-19 cases, a total of 257, 227 have recovered, there has been 1 death in Avery.

There are no active cases in the prison, there has been a total of 242.

Mitchell reported 5 active cases, a total of 231, 221 have recovered, there have been 5 deaths in Mitchell.

Yancey reported 21 active cases, a total of 264, 242 have recovered, and there has been 1 death in Yancey.
