AppHealthCare and Toe River District Health COVID-19 totals from Thursday.

AppHealthCare on Thursday reported Watauga had a total of 427 COVID-19 cases, 103 active cases, and 126 individuals being actively monitored. Ashe was at 179 total cases, 23 active cases, and 43 being monitored. Alleghany with a total of 185 cases, 17 active cases, and 11 being monitored. Across the three county district, there have been a total of 24 hospitalizations.

Toe River Health District reported Thursday that Avery County had 2 new COVID-19 cases which puts them at a total of 141, 123 have recovered and 18 active. Yancey County had 3 new cases Thursday which puts them at 148 positive cases, 119 have recovered and 28 active and 1 death. No new cases reported Thursday in Mitchell County, they remain at 135 total cases, 120 have recovered, 11 active and 4 deaths.

As of Thursday, AppHealthCare reports 45 active COVID-19 cases among App State students, 5 active cases among employees, and no active cases among subcontractors. So far there has been a total of 114 cases at the university among students, 22 employees and 41 subcontractors.
