Additional cases of COVID-19 were reported over the weekend by both AppHealthCare and Toe River Health District.

AppHealthCare reported Sunday that Watauga County is at 232 total COVID-19 cases, with 102 active. Ashe is at 96 total cases, with 32 active. Alleghany has had a total of 63 cases, with 21 currently active. AppHealthCare is currently monitoring 107 individuals in Watauga, 43 in Ashe, and 29 in Alleghany. Across the district, 14 total cases have required hospitalizations, and there has been 1 death, in Ashe County.

Toe River Health District reported Sunday that Avery County had 1 new COVID-19 case which puts them at 73 total, 62 have recovered and 11 active. No new cases report from Yancey, their total is 93 cases, 78 have recovered and 15 active. Mitchell County had 3 new cases which puts them at 106 positive cases, 68 have recovered, 36 active. There have been 2 deaths reported in Mitchell County.
