The Boone IHOP restaurant is closed with no plans to reopen.

The Watauga Democrat reports the restaurant on Blowing Rock Road is one of 40 owned by CFRA, LLC.

After the restrictions on dine-in eating at restaurants went into effect, a large number of employees were furloughed, and only a few days later, they received a letter from the company saying a number of stores would not be reopening, including the Boone store.

According to the report, an IHOP company spokesperson also confirmed the store would remain closed. IHOP has made similar statements about stores that closed in Hickory, Gastonia, Johnson City, Kingsport, and Bristol.
