The Town of Boone is seeking input on the accessibility of town facilities and services.

The Watauga Democrat reports the survey is part of an update to the town’s Americans with Disabilities Act Transition Plan.

The transition plan will look at barriers to accessibility to town services, facilities, sidewalks and streets, and strategies to address them.

A 12-question survey is available online at TownOfBoone.net at the top of the page.

The survey covers accessibility of sidewalks and streets, obstacles or challenges at intersections and signals and accessibility of town buildings and parks.

A public meeting for the transition plan will be held at 12 noon Tuesday January 14, during the Boone Transportation Committee meeting. That meeting will be held at the Boone Council Chambers, 1500 Blowing Rock Road.
