A threatening message was discovered last week at an Ashe County school.
According to an Ashe County Schools press release, a threatening message was found Thursday December 19th in a Westwood Elementary School restroom. A
she School administrators and the Ashe County Sheriff's Department investigated the message and spoke to children at the school and determined there was no evidence to believe it was a credible threat.
As a precautionary measure, additional staff and officers were on hand Friday.
The release indicates school officials are taking every precaution to ensure student safety.
