A Watauga County resident is on the list of confirmed cases of  Legionnaire's disease.

The NC Department of Health and Human Services updated their list of confirmed cases on Monday, that included the Watauga County resident, as well as 130 other cases of either Legionnaire's disease or Pontiac fever.

The source of the outbreak of the disease is under investigation, but many of the confirmed cases reported having attended the NC Mountain State Fair in Fletcher September 6-15th.

The NCDHHS advises that anyone who attended the N.C. Mountain State Fair this past September and is experiencing cough, fever, or shortness of breath should talk to their health provider right away about Legionnaire's disease.
