A Special Meeting of the Beech Mountain Town Council next Wednesday is considering a contract to build a 12,000-square-foot public works building.

The Watauga Democrat reports that work on the new building is expected to start by the end of this year, and the new structure and convenience center for recycling will be built behind the current public works building.

The special meeting will be held at 3:15 on September 18th at Beech Mountain Town Hall Council Chambers.
