The Mountains-to-Sea Trail is celebrating its 42nd birthday this Sunday, with a guided hike through the High Country sections.

Interested hikers will park at the endpoint of the hike, Osborne Mountain Overlook at 8:30am, and then shuttled to the Elk Valley Overlook to begin the hike at 9am.

This beginner friendly guided hike is 3.2 miles long and will offer views of Grandfather Mountain, Pilot Mountain, Elk Knob, and Snake Mountain.

The hike is free, with donations encouraged to support the Mountains-to-Sea Trail.

Kids are welcome if accompanied by an adult, and dogs on leashes are allowed.
