Work will soon begin on the Ashe County Public Library parking lot expansion.
The Ashe Post and Times reports the Appalachian Regional Library Board gave final approval for a budget at its last meeting.
According to the report, the library, the county and the Town of West Jefferson will split the project cost of just over $55,000.
Construction is planned to start next Monday, May 6th. The plan is to cut into a sloped piece of land on the edge of West Jefferson Park.
The expansion will add 14 new parking spaces to the Ashe County Library lot.
