On Wednesday, April 10th, at 10:32 p.m., the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1174 Orchard Road in Deep Gap in reference to a suspicious incident.

While officers were on scene, deputies discovered the bodies of Jeffrey David Borlase, 43, and Tanya Mae Borlase, 44. 

The Sheriff's Office stated that the incident was determined to be a double homicide and domestic in nature.

The Borlase’s 17-year-old biological son, Tristan Noah Borlase, was subsequently arrested in Johnson County, Tennessee and charged with the murder of both victims.  

The investigation is continuing.
