The UNC Board of Governors approved fee increases at Appalachian State University for the 2019-2020 school year.

The Watauga Democrat reports there will be a $23 increase in athletics fees, a $10 increase in student activity fees and a $3 increase in cultural affairs fees.

According to the report, there will be no change in debt service fees, and tuition rates will stay the same for undergraduate and graduate students.

With the added fees, total in-state undergraduate tuition at ASU will be $7,250. This is the fifth highest tuition among the 16 UNC campuses.
