The bridge across Old Field Branch on NC 194 in Lansing will soon be replaced.

The Ashe Post and Times reports work will start in April and is expected to finish in August.

According to the report, there will be periodic lane closures during construction, but no complete road closures will be necessary.

The bridge will be replaced with a three-barrel reinforced concrete box culvert. It will include new asphalt curbs, gutters, pavement markings, drainage pipes, boxes and sidewalks.
