Appalachian State University trustees approved several new capital projects.

The Watauga Democrat reports a pedestrian connector path from the Stadium Lot to the Peacock Lot was approved for about $917,000. The project will start May 1st and will be finished by September 1st.

According to the report, ASU trustees also approved the use of $2 million for renovations to Wey Hall. The project is still in its early stages of planning.

Renovations to Sanford Hall were also approved for $18 million. Work will start this summer and will be finished by December of 2020.

The demolition of Owens Field House is also scheduled to begin this week. The demolition will make room for the new stadium end zone facility.
