Governor Roy Cooper released his proposed state budget for 2019 to 2021.

The $25.2 billion plan includes investments in education, including better teacher pay, job training, health care, economic development and public safety.

The budget plans to achieve these goals without establishing new fees or raising taxes.

Cooper stated that “North Carolinians are determined to succeed and this budget invests in that determination through better schools and better opportunities for people to find good jobs and keep their families healthy and safe.”
