A man wanted by Ashe County authorities was captured by Watauga Sheriff's Deputies Monday after a foot chase in Deep Gap.

According to the Watauga Sheriff's Department, Ashe County issued a BOLO alert for Lindsey Milam, wanted on breaking and entering and domestic assault charges.

Watauga Deputies located Milam in the Highway 221 construction zone and ordered him to stop. Milam fled on foot up a steep incline from Highway 221 towards the Parkway. Additional Deputies became involved in a search in the area and after a ten minute chase, Milam was apprehended near the intersection of 221 and 421.

Milam was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and a large quantity of prescription pills.

Milam was charged with resisting an officer, felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and simple possession of a schedule 2 substance and resisting officers. Milam also faces charges in Ashe County.
