Glenn and Lula Bolick have been are among a group that will be receiving the 2018 North Carolina Arts Council Heritage Award.

High Country Press reports the Bolicks will be honored at an awards ceremony May 23rd at 7:30 p.m. at the Fletcher Opera Theater in Raleigh, in partnership with the North Carolina Arts Council.

According to the report, the Bolicks are potters, musicians and storytellers from Caldwell County well known across the High Country for their work. Lula is a fifth-generation potter from Seagrove, and Glenn, a fifth-generation sawmiller from Caldwell County.

Others who have been honored with the Heritage Award include Doc Watson and Ray Hicks.
