A house fire Monday morning apparently started from a car in the garage.

The Watauga Democrat reports the call came about 11:30 Monday morning at 190 Norris Trail.

According to the report Fire Marshal Taylor Marsh said that shortly after the call, the fire was fully involved.

Meat Camp, Todd, and Deep Gap Fire Departments had the fire down in about 45 minutes.

Marsh said there was one person at home when the fire started, who said there were flames coming from under the hood of the car.

There were no injuries. The house sustained extensive fire and smoke damage.

According to the report, Marsh said the investigation into the cause is still underway.
