The Ashe County Schools calendar has been changed in order to make up school days missed due to weather.

The Ashe Post and Times reports that after missing 10 days of school, and reduced hours due to early releases and delayed starts, four changes have been made to the calendar.

February 16, March 16, March 19 and May 4 are all now full school days for students. As of Monday, the last day of school is still set for May 31st.

According to the report, Ashe Superintendent Phyllis Yates hopes to make up missed days without using Saturday school and without shortening spring break.
