A pedestrian was injured by a motorcycle Monday.

The Watauga Democrat reports female pedestrian was crossing King Street when a man on a Kawasaki motorcycle struck her in front of First Baptist Church.

It happened around 4 Monday afternoon and Boone Fire and Watauga Medics responded.

According to the report the woman had minor scrapes and bruises and refused transport to the hospital.

The report indicated Master Police Officer Glen Kornhauser said the driver of the motorcycle had the right of way and the man was not injured.
