Drug Charges Added After Break-In Counts PDF Print

On the afternoon of October 23rd, deputies with the Avery County Sheriff’s Office were alerted that two people with outstanding felony warrants were at the Valero convenience store on Linville Street.  Deputies arrived at the convenience store to find thirty nine year old Melissa Warren and forty nine year old Robert McLaughlin, both Linville residents had felony Breaking and Entering charges for their arrest issued by Land Harbor Police.  And during the arrest, deputies found drugs and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle they were driving.  So in addition to their Breaking and Entering charges, Deputies charged Warren with Felony Possession of a Schedule II drug and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and McLaughlin with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Warren received a $20,000.00 bond and McLaughlin was set a $12,000.00 bond.
