Roaring River and Ronda firemen were dispatched to a house fire just after midnight this morning—a family of six losing most everything they owned in the blaze.  Wilkes dispatch said the fire call came in at 12:05 this morning to the home at 445 North Ridge Rd., Roaring River, and that as firefighting efforts were being concluded, the local Red Cross chapter was called out at about 3:15 this morning to assist the family of three adults and three children, providing: food, clothes, shoes, and medical supplies. Wilkes fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
