Blowing Rock Hospital to join Appalachian Regional Healthcare PDF Print

Blowing Rock Hospital announced today it is joining Watauga Medical Center and Cannon Memorial Hospital in the Appalachian Regional Healthcare system.

According to current Blowing Rock Hospital CEO Alice Salthouse, it is an exciting development for Blowing Rock Hospital. Now the hospital will have access to a greater amount of resources.


What happens next?Appalachian Regional Healthcare CEO Richard Sparks believes the remainder of this year will be planning. New services will begin next year.  One of the new services planned is a regional laboratory. Heading the laboratory will be Salthouse. Moving into her current position as Blowing Rock Hospital CEO will be Watauga Medical Center’s Tim Ford.  

CEO Sparks is excited about the role Blowing Rock Hospital will play in Appalachian Regional Healthcare. It will bring much-needed geriatric resources.

   Blowing Rock Hospital becomes an official monitored affiliate of Appalachian Regional Healthcare Friday.
