Two men were slightly hurt in a single-vehicle crash on US 421 near the Watauga Wilkes line late yesterday morning.  The crash occurred near Orchard Road at about 11:15 when the 2011 Ford sedan that Isaac Williams was driving ran went left of center, Williams overcorrecting, according to trooper Hendrix of the State Patrol.  Hendrix said the car hit an embankment and overturned, rolling over one complete time, landing back on its wheels.  Witnesses who arrived at the scene found the doors jammed on the car, causing a call for Watauga Rescue to respond along with Deep Gap Fire/First responders and Watauga Medics. Hendrix said that neither man were badly hurt, suffering mostly scratches and bruises as side airbags deployed in the car, but he said the car was probably totaled and that he cited Isaac Williams for Reckless Driving in the crash.
