Trio Charged in Avery Meth Bust PDF Print

Then last Thursday, Officers with the Avery County Sheriff’s Office followed up on information about manufacturing methamphetamine on Banner Elk Highway, with officers finding 60-year old Bobby Hinton of Elk Park, 39-year old Tabitha Hinton of Elk Park, and 51-year old Johnny Hughes of Roan Mountain at a trailer on Banner Elk Highway, their report saying they were in possession of items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.  All three were charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Precursor Chemicals and Possession of Methamphetamine.  All three were placed on $125,000 bond at the Avery County jail.
